Gray hair doesn’t age me,
Nor do the years of my life,
Make me old.
For in my heart is a child.
For the beauty of life,
I am thrown into it.
The pains of this world
No longer affect me.
And the fire of so many burns
No longer forms me.
For in my life,
There are worries
That shake mountains.
But
I refuse to be weakened or bent.
We came to this world to live.
Nothing can dampen my resolve.
No pain or worry can stop me
From loving life.
The smile of my lips and my heart,
like a child’s, is what strengthens me.
It plants me in people’s hearts,
full of love.
It is a blessing from the Lord
That enriches me.
How many souls
Have found aversion in hearts?
And my soul, by His grace, guides me.
